Determination of Y-haplogroup
The test is used to study paternal lineage by analyzing the Y chromosome. The analysis can only be performed on males, determining paternal lineage. The Y-haplogroup is the same for all men in the father’s family.
Diagnostic Range: Paternal Lineage
Diagnostic Method: Fragment analysis of microsatellite markers for determination of Y-haplogroup
Research Material: Venous or capillary blood with K2EDTA (purple tube)
Results within: 10 business days
Fee: BGN 600
Result
Certificate with a specific Y-haplogroup according to the profile obtained from the tested DNA markers
Determining Mitochondrial Haplogroup
The test is used to determine maternal lineage by analysis of mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA). Regardless of their sex, children inherit this haplogroup from their mother, so the analysis is applicable to both men and women.
Diagnostic Range: Maternal lineage
Diagnostic Method: Sequencing of mitochondrial genome HVR1 and 2 to determine mitochondrial haplogroup
Research Material: Venous or capillary blood with K2EDTA (purple tube)
Results within: 10 business days
Fee: BGN 500
Result
Certificate with a specific mitochondrial haplogroup and genetic variants found
Disputed Parental Origin Test
The analysis is based on a comparison of the child's DNA profiles with the indicated presumed parent - mother or father. The result is confirmation or complete exclusion of paternity / maternity. Performing the analyzes is optional and has judicial value.
Diagnostic Range: Disputed paternity test; Disputed maternity test; Identification of the subject - comparison of biological samples
Diagnostic Method: Fragment analysis. Number of DNA markers tested: 21
Research Material: Venous or capillary blood with K2EDTA (purple tube); Buccal mucosa
Results within: 7 business days
Fee: BGN 900 - BGN 1,200 - depending on the number of children tested
Result
Complete exclusion / Confirmation of biological relationship
